| Leo Krebs founded the
business with his brother in 1933. In the early years, much of the
merchandise was similar to that offered in hardware stores,
including Sargent Locks and Sterling paint. Over the years, Krebs
Brothers evolved into the dominant Arkansas restaurant equipment
supply company, serving hotels, restaurants, hospitals and schools.

| Leo Krebs was very involved with
Subiacco Academy, a Catholic boys' school, the Knights of Columbus
and many other charitable organizations.
The tradition established by Leo was
continued with Mr. John Hain, who served the customers of the State
of Arkansas for over 50 years while working at Krebs Brothers from
July, 1950 until his 50 year anniversary July, 2000. John was a
strong supporter of ASFSA, the Arkansas School Food Service
Association. John continues to check in on his former customers and
the staff of Krebs to offer his advice.
Krebs Brothers was located at 413 W. Capitol
from 1933 until 1978, when the business was relocated to 1501
Westpark in Little Rock. |
